WeChat is always looking for ways to reward our users, and also for ways to give back to you for being such loyal WeChatters. Following our successful Friends n Rewards Campaign in India, we are now extending our campaign to users in Malaysia!
From now until April 25th, WeChat users living in Malaysia will have the opportunity to earn WeChat points to redeem cool gifts from local brands, such as Huawei, Chatime, Grabtaxi, MCash and Zalora. All you have to do to redeem points (up to 3 points a day) is make a video or voice call of at least 60 seconds through WeChat.
The points will be accumulated to redeem awesome gifts, like the Huawei Ultra-Thin Power-Bank, discounts from Chatime and MCash, RM10 off your next MyTeksi ride, or even enjoying storewide coupons from Zalora.*
So how do I start earning points and redeeming gifts?
We’re glad you asked. If you are living in Malaysia:
Voice or Video Call your friends on WeChat
Chat for at least 60 seconds
Redeem your points at WeChat Team > WeReward
Check your balance through the WeReward Balance Page, redeem vouchers / coupons under My Vouchers
And that’s it! If you want to be a part of this awesome campaign to redeem amazing prizes, download WeChat today and start calling away.
For all our WeChatters in Malaysia, we have good news. WeChat is now partnering with Malaysian telecommunications giant Digi Telecommunications to provide an easier way for Digi customers to manage their account and services straight from their mobile device. Check out all the features of the new Digi WeChat official account below.
When you’re WeChatting away, the last thing you want to do is leave a chat to check on your mobile account details. By following the Digi official account, users are able to check their personal account status, purchase additional data, gain access to exclusive rewards, as well as send feedback to Digi’s customer service team.
Thank you to all the WeChatters who joined the Share-A-Scare contest. We received a huge number of submissions from Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines and absolutely loved all your spooky Moments photos.
Here’s a peak at some of the top scary sights this Halloween season.
Move over #selfies, customized animated emojis are the newest social craze with the launch of WeChat’s latest app, MojiMe now available to download for Android and iOS users in Indonesia, Malaysia, Taiwan, Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong, India, Philippines, South Africa, Italy, China and US users.
Just take a picture of yourself or with a friend and select from dozens of fun character themes to place your face(s) into. Then share your new stickers over WeChat – all for FREE. Uncontrollable laughter will be sure to ensue!
With MojiMe, you can choose to customize either single or double stickers. Making a buddy “Moji” is the perfect social activity to do with friends and a cute romantic gesture for your significant other. Or, wing it yourself and easily create Mojis of your own. Both options have a variety of animated character themes to choose from. For single emoji, these include Suprise, TV Drama, Horror Movies and Cute Girl. For buddy emoji, these include MoMo and Rabbit, Prince and Princess, Mr. Cool and Panda, Love Story and BFF. Users can also download even more themes from the sticker gallery by selecting the “+” icon in MojiMe with new ones constantly being added. So whatever your personality or mood may be, there is a theme to help you express it.

There are some of us who have an undeniable need for speed. But you don’t always need to ground the gas pedal and hit law-breaking speeds to feel adrenaline cursing through your body. That’s why WeChat has launched WeChat Speed.
To celebrate this exciting game in Malaysia, we pitted the nation’s speed demons against celebrities to find the fastest racers.
WeChat invited everyone across Malaysia to compete and post their highest WeChat Speed scores for a chance to race with the country’s hottest celebrities in the grand finale.
